What is a Philippine Visa?
A Philippine Visa is an endorsement made on a travel document by a consular officer at a Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad denoting that the visa application has been properly examined and that the bearer is permitted to proceed to the Philippines and request permission from the Philippine Immigration authorities at the ports of entries to enter the country.
How can you get a Philippine Tourist Visa?
You can enter Philippines WITHOUT a visa for the initial period of 30 days. Before you travel, you can also get a visa from the Philippine Embassy which will allow an initial stay of (60) days.
*Note* If you wish to extend your stay, you can apply for an extension at Bureau of Immigration near you
Overstaying without the proper authority is a serious matter and can lead to detention pending payment of outstanding fees and fines and voluntary deportation at your own expense. Fine for Overstaying – (additional) PhP 500.00 per month
If you have stayed for more than 59 days you are eligible to apply for a ACR I – CARD
*What is an ACR I-Card?
An ACR I-Card is a microchip based, credit card-sized, identification card issued to all registered aliens whose stay in the Philippines has exceeded fifty-nine (59) days. It also has an embedded computer chip with bio metric security features capable of data management and can be updated electronically.
*Who are required to apply for an ACR I-Card?
All foreign nationals under immigrant and non-immigrant visas including holders of Temporary Visitor’s Visa, who have stayed for more than fifty nine (59) days in the Philippines.
